    On-Site Assessment & Transport

Upon notification of a claim by the insurance company, an assigned claims adjuster or the aircraft owner, we will dispatch a member(s) of our repair team to the accident site at no charge, typically in our own Cessna 182, for the purpose of making a first-hand assessment of the damage and its complexity. If any hard-to-find parts will be required we will immediately begin searching for those parts to reduce the aircraft downtime, while preparing a thorough repair proposal. Our commitment is to return the aircraft to service as quickly as possible.

We can also arrange for transport of the aircraft to our repair facility using either our own truck/trailer and specialized rigging gear, a qualified commercial source, or by FAA and insurance-approved ferry flight.

While the aircraft is undergoing repairs, the owner, adjuster and claims manager receive regular communications including written status reports (with timeline) and pictures documenting the repair intended to help reduce the diminution of aircraft value. If the owner chooses, AIS can also perform maintenance inspections, performance modifications, avionics upgrades, interior refurbishment, and offer new exterior paint, resulting in significant savings in future aircraft downtime and costs. Supporting the repair facility in the Dallas/Fort Worth metro area are regional offices located in Wichita, Kansas and Chattanooga, Tennessee, providing expanded customer service for aircraft owners, assigned adjusters and claims managers throughout the central and southeastern U.S. The following photographs illustrate our recent work on a Beechcraft Bonanza that was involved in an off-airport, gear-up landing, resulting in structural and sheet metal damage to the fuselage and wing.
